Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), also known as neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) or electromyostimulation,
is the elicitation of muscle contraction using electric impulses. TENS has received increasing attention in the last few years, because
it has the potential to serve as: a strength training tool for healthy subjects and athletes; a rehabilitation and preventive tool
for partially or totally immobilized patients; a testing tool for evaluating the neural and/or muscular function in vivo; a post-exercise
recovery tool for athletes. The impulses are generated by a device and delivered through electrodes on the skin in direct proximity
to the muscles to be stimulated. The impulses mimic the action potential coming from the central nervous system, causing the muscles
to contract. The electrodes are pads that adhere to the skin. The use of TENS has been cited by renowned sports scientists as a complementary
technique for sports training and published research is available on the results obtained.
"Strength training by NMES does
promote neural and muscular adaptations that are complementary to the well-known effects of voluntary resistance training". This statement
is part of the editorial summary of a 2010 world congress of researchers on the subject. Additional studies on practical applications,
performed after that congress, pointed out important factors that make the difference between effective and ineffective TENS. Also,
as published by reputable Universities, TENS causes adaptation, i.e. training of muscle fibers.

The IPRO Massager III should be used for the symptomatic relief of tension, chronic intractable pain, acute post traumatic pain, acute
post-surgical pain and arthritis pain. There is nothing "magic" about Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulations (TENS). TENS is
intended to be used to relieve pain. The IPRO Massager III controller sends comfortable impulses through the skin that stimulate the
nerve (or nerves) in the treatment area. In many cases, this stimulation will greatly reduce or eliminate the pain sensation the patient
feels.
The Massage Pads transmit a bioelectrical pulse to effectively ease pain caused by tension or injury, and fatigue of the
shoulders, waist, back, arms, and legs. It is particularly suitable for people who constantly work on a computer, are drivers, or
airline travelers. With this new portable packaging, the use of massage pads will no longer be bound by time or space. IPRO Massager
III will help you achieve your health goals without interrupting your daily routine.
